I am such a procrastinator when it comes to things I really want to do yet are incredible nervous about. With only five days left until we leave for our adventurous trip, I have slowly started to think of what to take with me. I got my boots and my hat, sunscreen and work clothes, sleeping bags and warm clothes.
The girls at work have jokingly given me a book on camping in the desert. Ha ha, very funny! Well but the truth is, we will encounter creatures we don't really think of on a regular basis, so it will be a little bit nerv wrecking thinking of encounters with rattle snakes, scorpions, all kinds of spiders etc. Besides seeing and helping out with the wild burros I am most excited about the drive through Death Valley, it is just such a unique place and I can't wait to see it. Just hope the car doesn't break down ...but then I have my desert survival guide and we should be ok. lol.
Well we are not the only adventurers in our group, our new ED at the DSC is off to Spain to do the walk of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. It sure will be a very spiritual journey for her and I am glad she can make it. Good luck !
