Dec 10: It's beginning to look like Christmas

That's our Theme song in the DSC Office right now, and it is great, however with it being great there comes a lot of pressure and a lot, and I mean a lot of work. Mountains of letters arrive at the DSC every day and it is really starting to look like last year's stressful Christmas. At times it is a little bit overwhelming when you look at the stack beside you and you know you need to get this out today. There are only so many hours in the day and with having more hours at the other job as well than last year I can only stay until five most days.
Thanks to one of the volunteers that is helping with the phone calls twice a week, we have a cute little Christmas tree in the office., The Christmas Cards are piling up. If it wasn't for the occasional visit by barn staff and the occasional fog horn or Moose call from outside, we wouldn't even know we are on a farm. Once in a while we take a little break and look out the window and watch the donkeys run and play,  yes occasionally they do run, only to realize very quickly to better get back to work if one wants to get things done. But with all the work we still love a lot, especially at the end of the day, when it is most likely mistakes are being made because of starring at a screen all day, and we are very creative and come up with some funny stuff. But as long as we can laugh at ourselves and our mistakes, it's all is good.
