AVOIDANCE
Avoidance is simply a way of coping without having to cope, when feelings of discomfort appear we find ways of avoiding them. I have avoided things in many different ways, e.g.by removing myself physical from certain situations, by procrastinating til the last minute when I am forced to deal with things, by isolating myself, by not participating.
This way of being has worked quite nicely for me, especially in the last year.

Don't worry about it, everybody f**** up, but few will admit it!

Well mess up at some point. I'm a new follower from A-Z. Great A post!
Avoidance, I'm right there with you. I attempt to deal with sh*t in my own head until I just can't handle anymore then explode. Not the healthiest method, but I'm slowly working on voicing myself.
A very honest post. And it gave me something to think about.
It's actually not as messed up as all that. Avoidance can be a good form of self-care, provided you're not letting important obligations and opportunities slip by in the process. Sometimes, sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending you're somewhere else is the best way to get through the day.
I look forward to the rest of your challenge posts.
I normally do the procrastination. Putting things off seems to not be a big deal... Until it is, in my case... But f****** up is a fact of life, I believe.

I'd say avoidance is my least favorite coping strategy, but one that I can hop to at the worst times.
It sure is an easy one to fall back on and it works every time and yes it is a way of self care, not very productive though. :(
Sometimes avoidance is a perfectly okay method of coping until we are ready to handle whatever is challenging us.
