Soccer Fever!

Well i would be a no good German at heart if I was not rooting for the German soccer team at the 2010 World Championship in South Africa. Being German, being European means growing up with Soccer, whether you liked it or not. Every Saturday evening it was Soccer night, equal to Hockey night in Canada. International Soccer championships are always the best, and since a lot of different nationalities were present all around us, no matter who won, there was always a party afterwards. No matter where you are, what you are doing, everything stops for Soccer. I remember so many vacations out of the country and the tourists from all over Europe would assemble around the only TV in the hotel lobby to watch Soccer. Seems like it is somewhat contagious, when I came home from running my errands yesterday I saw that one of the boys had a German flag on his car window, his girlfriend proudly displaying her team with a very nice Soccer jacket from Nike, of course with PORTUGAL on the back. Let the ball roll and good luck to each and every team, may the best team win.
