A few of my favourite things...

...besides donkey I also have a thing for cats, mooses, koalas and squirrels, in particular. I love just watching the squirrels in my backyard play and roam around, and I can't wait to be outside in the summer and be upclose and personal with them. Over the years I had many squirrels come and go, and even in the squirrel world there are some that have definitely personality and are just different from the rest of them. I even do have a favourite among them ever so often. There was Buddy when we first moved in, who would come just running down the hill when he heard somebody in the backyard and just hung out, then there was Stumpy, oh he was so cute, he only had a tail the size of a bunny tail hence the name Stumpy, but he would be there every morning at the backdoor and surely enjoyed hanging out on the deck with you as company. But with every addition of a cat the squirrels got less frequent and less tame and really just come for a quick drink of water and some birdseeds. The odd one sticks around and teases the cats along the living room window by running back and forth on the sill or hanging at the side of the house peeking it.

I must also admit that I have a little bit of an obsession with purses and tote bags and yes I even have Donkey bags lol... you can never have enough purses or bags, I can see I will be known as the bag lady, or cat lady or the old lady that sits in the park talking to the squirrels, yup that will be me.


And to stay with the donkey theme, my kids thought is was funny and gave me these for Christmas a few years ago, obviously I haven't worn them yet, I keep telling them that I will start wearing them when they find me the matching hat for them. ( hopefully they never will lol)

Of course there are a few favourite cross stitch pieces around here too, especially my sepia donkey and koala, but also my "Winter Geese", "5 th day" and of course all my moose pictures.
