The Amazing Race

I had to work today at the Centre for a fundraising event of a charity organization in Guelph, they organized an annual Southern Ontario Amazing Race and just like the original on TV, there were teams and many stations and challenges to be met. Our centre was the second last station of the day. It was fun to watch, some flew right through their challenge, where others were here for almost an hour. There were twenty teams of two and they came all in at different times, the last team arrived shortly after 8 and it took them a while to come up with their solution to their challenge and it was starting to get dark when they headed out to their last station. Some teams asked for help from me, like directions, some flagged down cars on the street to drive them to their next destination It was just like the real thing, just the places weren't that exotic. It seemed to me like everybody had enormous fun and they will do the same thing again tomorrow... on their second day. Well can't wait to find out who won, I know they raised a ton of money for the Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington.
I must say the volunteer that were stationed at the centre were absolutely great and it seemed to be very well organized.
What a fun event!
