Garfield
Garfiled has always been my favourite cartoon character, maybe because we had so much in common lol...laziness, obsessive eating and hating Mondays and diets, yup, I guess that was it. I was introduced to Garfield comics in the mid 80's when my then boyfriend bought me my first Garfield stuffy, I still have it and I must say he looks pretty ratty.
I also have a nice collection of Garfield cartoons somewhere in a box in the basement and to this date my favourite animated Christmas show is the Garfield Christmas Special. Of course loving Garfield, my friends back then supported this love by getting my all kinds of Garfield Memorabilia, so I have quite a collection of Garfield stuffed animals...my favourite being ( and it still is on my bedroom dresser) is my Garfield that looks like it came out of the washer and dryer...no black stripes and all puffy and fluffy....I just love him and can't part with him.
I also loved Nermal, the cutest Kitten in the world, that Garfield hates with a passion well because he is so jealous of him...but you must admit...Nermal was cute....
Unfortunately nobody ever got me a Nermal, I guess they were hard to come by. lol
And who can forget Pookie, Garfield's favourite Teddybear?

Haha--I loved Garfield too, and I, too, had a box of Garfield comics--starting from the first one!--somewhere that has since been lost. *sigh* Thanks for sharing!
I love Garfield! He's always been my favourite cartoon character, too. I watched the show religiously as a kid, and still have a bunch of the books. AND my favourite Christmas special is the Garfield one, too! :-)
I had a big stuffed Garfield, (still around somewhere, I think), and I put it as the centerpiece when Mom made Lasagna one evening. She took it off the table, and I asked why. I laughed when she said she didn't like the way it was looking at her!

I had a Nermal!! I used to keep her in the back window of my car. One day somebody stole her... very traumatic. Who would steal a Nermal?????
