The Donkey House and Drainage Project!

When the Sanctuary began rescuing donkeys 18 year ago, the 19th century barn on the DSC property met the needs of the 16 donkeys they had at the time. However, many years, many donkeys and many mules later, it is no longer the healthiest housing we would wish for the animals in our care. So we have decided to embark on a vital project, that of building a new DONKEY HOUSE. This new building will have improved ventilation and drainage and more natural light than the previous barn, and will be a more flexible environment in which we can care for our equine residents. This $175.000 investment in the health of the donkeys is a significant undertaking for the DSC. If you would like to donate to the Donkey House and Drainage Project, you may do so via Pay Pal at www.thedonkeysanctuary.ca/help-us/donate, by calling 519.836.1697 to make a donation with VISA or MasterCard. Thank you so much. We truly could not do this without you.

It's a big undertaking for sure, but will be so much better for the donkeys!
