Not the day I had in mind!

Omg what a day it was yesterday, I had in my mind having a nice quiet day, with nothing much to do but work on my "Singing Donkey" picture, for a friend's visit this weekend, make a nice supper and that was really it. No where to run to, nothing else to do but the normal things, plain and simple taking it easy...but things are always different then one expects or plans. As I was sitting on the computer yesterday morning writing yesterday's blog entry, the phone rings, it's the Main office, wondering if I would be so kind and drive down to the centre and let the Weight Watchers group leaders in, as nobody is there to open up for them. So since I was dressed I said yes, in my mind already I was prepared for a little bit of attitude on my side, which is really not my thing, but when it comes to that group, oh these ladies are just too much to handle at times and pick and bitch about every little thing, so I knew I was gonna get it for not being there to open up at 8:30 am as usual. Well sorry ladies, not my job and I would have let them have it, customer service or not, I was just in that kind of mood and I am tired of people giving people heck if they are doing something kind for them and still get "shitted on". It wasn't my fault that the person who was suppose to be there wasn't so, so don't give me attitude. Of course my five minute drive to work took a touch longer because I was stuck behind a driver going slower than the speed limit and no way to pass him. I got to work and one of the young girls, running the summer programs, just got there a minute before me, so she got the brunt of their dismay and I was not happy with that and really wished I gotten there before her, after all too it was your birthday...what a nice way to start you day. Geez! I chatted with the girl for a little while and then went back home, sat back down to continue my entry, shortly after that there was a knock at the door, young guy in uniform, telling me he was from the Power Company and was here to install a new meter and he would be shutting of the power for a little bit, and I should shut down all the major appliances and he let me know when he is done. Great, so I did that. While he was doing that I started to work on my crosstitch for a little bit, sitting at the kitchen table by the window, as it was the only light enough place in the downstairs part of the house. Thankfully he didn't take all that long and knocked back on the door about 15 minutes later, bitching and whining about the dogs barking across the street, and wondered what it was and if it was not driving us crazy. Well I said to him, that is where the local SPCA is located and it only drives you crazy when you sit out front. Most of our "living space" faces the back of the property so you really don't hear it that much, so no it doesn't drive us crazy. He left and I finally got to finish my blog entry and decided to check out a few things I would like to do, one is seriously thinking about joining the camera club that meets twice a months at our centre and seriously thinking about doing a few other things, but that went right out the window as it was not available anymore. Grrrrrr! I guess you snooze you loose. Being somewhat disappointed and somewhat relieved, since I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for that to begin with. Well by now it was time to take my daughter to work and upon my return I finally sat down outside to do some stitching, the "donkey" is coming along nicely and I only need a few more fallen flower petals and the writing at the bottom.  The plan is to have it finished to give to my Facebook friend on Sunday, before she leaves to go back home. I stitched until about 2:30 pm and then decided to check out  my next project to start, it's not like I don't have any other ones on the go, but I just didn't feel like working on any of them. So I got my charts out and picked one and went down to the LNS to get the needed threads and fabric. The owner of the store is one of our Stitching Sisters, so we had a nice visit and chatted a bit over some of the new charts she has brought in and all the fun of stitching and I admired her progress on some of her pictures. She wipes up the projects just like that, omg and she is mostly doing big ones too, but it seems like it doesn't take her no time at all. And they are all so pretty and amazing. Of course visiting there you always come home with more than what you set out to get, so I got a couple of new patterns and some material. Woo hoo! I went to the grocery store and then home to make dinner. While dinner was cooking I noticed that my cell phone was having one of it's moments again, and nothing worked on it. Well since I was in one of those moods I decided right after dinner to go back to the store I got it from and get it looked at and after. Well I got there, and I told the guy that I am about ready to throw it out the window because it is not working, it has been doing that since May, one minute it works fine the next minute absolutely nothing. So he couldn't figure it out what was wrong with me, and even though my phone was out of warranty and I am still stuck in a contract for two more years, he gave me a brand new model, waved all the fees, changed my plan to that it won't cost any more than what I have to pay now, even though I have another contract to wait out, so that was nice of him and while we were waiting for the activation he was asking me all kinds of questions about the donkey farm, as I was sporting my brand new Sanctuary T-shirt lol....well let me tell you, he got an ear full, for somebody who doesn't take to strangers...poor guy....so we waited and waited and he called the activation people back and they said they had problems at their end that it will take a while to activate it, so he sent me off my merry way with the new phone that even this morning is still not working, and I guess I will go see him again tonight after work. lol ARRRRGGGGHHHH! Funny he jokingly said to me last night, well now you have two phones that don't work and I told him I guess I will see you tomorrow again....and here we are......it's tomorrow and that's exactly what's going to happen lol....
So much for having a relaxing peaceful carefree day. lol
Can't wait to see what today will be like.  Have a good one.
Oh btw...I got an email from the Facebook friend, saying that she had to delay her trip and has to reschedule it because of a family emergency.....hope everything is ok.....I still will have the picture done by the weekend though....not slacking on that one....it's so close to being done.

I never plan on much anymore - even my Dr. appts (they cancel). Sounds like a bugger of a day, I hope today is going better for you.

It sounds like you got a lot done (if the phone works) even if not what you planned. Will we ever get to see a photo of your stitch work? I would love to. I have one of my own I should finish, oh well, tomorrow is another day....Inger

Oh Louise frustrating is an understatement, I was in an odd mood too, because usually I am not that quick to react to things or say things or try to fix things, but I was just in a mode.lol Today was much better lol thank god!.
