The Donkey Sanctuary ( UK )

I am not only a sponsor and adoptive "mom" to donkeys at the DSC I am also a supporter of the DS in England, which is the world's largest donkey sanctuary with affiliations all over the world ( Greece, Egypt, Kenya, Mexico, Italy, Spain, China,India to just name a few), alone in England and Ireland they have multiple farms and to this date over 12,500 donkeys have passed thru their gates there. Dr. Svendson started out just like Sandra Pady did,with a few donkeys here and there, it evolved into this big charity now, not just for Donkeys and Mules but also for children. I found this video on youtube which really captures their work and mission beautifully and I do understand that in some parts of the world they are still the original beast of burden, but there are humaner ways to treat them and make their jobs easier on them and that's where the education part of the DS comes into play to relieve the suffering of those hard working donkeys.......Warning...contains disturbing images.
