Hershey is a particularly popular donkey with the school children who visit the Sanctuary in order to take part in their Animal Welfare Education Program. He enjoys to hang over the fence and bare his teeth in a grin for all to see. Hershey has been in very good health this past year and continues with his solitary manner, much preferring the company of humans to that of the other donkeys. He is unique in many ways.
