All is quiet on the farm....minutes after a major down pour
The first brave ones to come back out to the paddock.. Sable (looking at me) and Poppy
Anticipation of the Carrot walk.
Lady, Donkeschoen, Speckle, Juanita, Boliver and a few other asses ( can't tell them apart from behind..one ass looks like another....wow it's great, it's the only place where you can say the word ass without being looked upon strangely.:) )
Hershey enjoying a few minutes of sunshine...he is just the cutest of them all ( but that's just my opinion)

Yes, Tina, it's quite ok for you to say that all asses look alike. It's ok for me too and I'm not talking donkey. ;-)
Hershey really is an adorable animal!
Hershey is as cute as can be! He looks so happy, and who wouldn't, living in a pretty place like that. Just out of curiosity, are the donkeys ever adopted out, or is this the kind of sanctuary where they will live their lives out?
They will live their lives out there, some of them are on Foster Farms, but still belong to the DSC. Only really healthy ones qualify for Foster farms, a lot of them at the DSC have health and /or behaviour problems, so they are not suitable for fostering out.
those are such peaceful pictures...the green grass is just gorgeous, as are you donkeys. I have a Hershey too, but she is an appaloosa. She should be a donkey though, her personality is pretty special!!
Thank goodness you can tell them apart from the colour of their hair.
