PEOPLE WHO ARE VIOLENT TO ANIMALS RARELY STOP THERE!

A is for...

              Animals.
All my life I have loved animals. I can't even imagine a life without animals. Animals can be your trusted friends, that are always by your side, know when you need extra love and care. Even to this day I still love watching animal shows on TV, learning about them, watching them  and just be in awe of them. There are some really amazing animals out there, the way they live, the way they take care of each other and protect themselves is really a wonder of nature at times.
None of my parents really grew up with animals around them, so convincing them to get a family pet was not easy and met with lots of resistance. It took forever to persuade them that I would be a great animal caregiver and be responsible for the pet. So after long and probably painful to them nagging about getting a pet, they finally gave in.....and I got a white little guinea pig from a friend. I named him Nickel and he was the best guinea pig friend ever. To this day I still think about my little furry friend.
This is not an actual picture of him, but it looks exactly like him.

I'm not a HUGE animal fan, but I have two dogs and, for the most part, enjoy their company. I tend to gravitate to them when I am scared or not feeling well. And they always seem to love and adore me even if I'm not showering them with dog treats everyday!

Good luck with the challenge!

I love animals. I used to say I would either grow up to be a writer, or a Veterinarian. Instead of the latter, I have two dogs and a cat. I still love animals, but I would rather write.
I'm an A-Z fellow Challenger stopping by to say "Hi".
Great post.
Hugs,

My dad loved animals, and strays tended to follow him home. We were lucky, he was most comfortable with a menagerie around. I feel for you...but I'm glad you finally got the guinea pig. That is one pet type we didn't have. I'll bet that was fun.

Aww... what a cutie! He looks so comfortable in his bed. You will always remember him, I'm sure.
