Another early start for us as we had changed our plans for today, originally we were going to leave in the early afternoon to do the 210 mile drive to Ventura, but we then decided on some detours, both taking us in sort of opposite directions. We helped with the morning chores and then it was time to say good-bye to our new friends, two and four legged ones.

Before we drove out the gate we stopped and visited with some more donkey friends, the latest additons to the WBR, the Clark Mountain donnkeys. They were absolute beautiful animals and very curious about us as well.

Wild Burro Love......they were just too cute. |

Leaving our new friends at theWBR behind. |
Originally the car was suppose to be turning right but we made a left turn, not because we were lost again but because we were driving to see Mt. Whitney.

I just totally loved these landscapes.......
After our venture to Mt. Whitney we made another little side stop in Ridgecrest where we visited the BLM holding facility. We weren't gonna leave until we talked to somebody there....( afterall it was only 3:15 on a Friday afternoon and officially they were to be open until 4 pm...ended with us staying there til way after closing time talking with them).
....but that entry will be for 'Wordless Wednesday'...because there really are no words for that....:(
