PEOPLE WHO ARE VIOLENT TO ANIMALS RARELY STOP THERE!

It's been a long time!

Well it's been a long time since I have been out with one of my best friends for a day, different schedules, surgery, not feeling well and family obligations have prevented us to set an earlier date for our outing, so when we both realized on Monday that we are both off on Wednesday it was time to get together. On first thought I was thinking I should just stay home, relax and enjoy all the ME time that I can soak up, but I knew there were a few things that I needed to tend to, and nothing gets you going faster than those things that you have been putting off for way too long, like e.g. getting our eyebrows done. Mine haven't been threaded since just before Christmas and I started to feel the brown joining together over the bridge of my nose...sure sign it's time to go. So I picked her up from work, only after I totally was lost in thought and drove right past her work until it finally darned on me..where the heck am I going. So I turned around and got to her place of work in time to pick her up. We made our stop at our friend's place to get our eyebrows tended and then it was off the hit a few local thrift stores. It was my first really shopping trip in 2011, and proudly I can say I only spend a few dollars, but acquired two blouses, a tank top, some tart burners and a flower pot. I was happy. After that we stopped at Timmie's and had a quick coffee. When I dropped her off at her house, she gave me my birthday presents from January, oh I love late birthday presents, and omg I just love the blue purse she has gotten me and the stained glass cardinal picture, which will look absolutely gorgeous beside one of my other favourite birthday presents from another friend,  I hanged it in the big living room window the other day and I just love how it sparkles when the sunlight hits it. Absolutely beautiful!
I rushed home to make a quick supper for the family and then off to Zumba for an hour, it helps that I do the admission part for the class, because that guarantees that I am at class. and won't have the excuse "I don't feel like going", after Zumba I was pretty much done it and opted to stay home and not go the the stitching off night, but I had a good night chatting with Pookie, Alex and Ashely. So that was fun and something that doesn't happen to often.

Hi Tina!
Something I have never had done - my eyebrows! I have always worn glasses and they seemed to cover them up pretty well. LOL! The lady at the beauty shop did suggest it, the last time I was there, guess they must be pretty bad, huh?
It does sound like you had a good time on Girl's day out, it probably did you more good, that just staying in. :-)
I hope today is good for you!

Hi Sharon...well I never got my eyebrows done until about a year ago, so it's never too late to start lol. Yes it was a great day and yes it sure did me good and you are right probably better than stayiing in, but usually I am a homebody lol...have a great day.

It sounds like you had a really wonderful day, Tina. The kind of day that sticks with you and the memory of it helps when days aren't so wonderful. I'm a homebody, too, so I understand how you feel, but it certainly is refreshing to get out and about once in a while.
