For Dusty Rose!

Dusty Rose by Rose Karn ( DSC Volunteer)

On a warm summer day
I heard you bray
But now I pray
And wish you could stay

From the very start
You stole my heart
And I felt very privileged to care
For your long silky hair

Through only a touch
You have taught me so much
And though I'm not there
Please know that I care

In the days ahead
When by the barn I tread
I will forget all my woes
And think of you Dusty Rose

Great poem. Did something happen to Dusty Rose?

Yes Dusty Rose was euthanized this morning to her life long struggle with feet problems, and she really took a turn for the worse in the last couple of weeks, so to be fair to her, the decision was made to end her life humanly and with great care and love.

Good Bye, Dusty Rose.

Such a nice poem, written with tears, I imagine.

I am sure she will not be forgotten by the wonderful people there who loved her, and she was a very lucky girl to have spent the time she had at the sanctuary.
