Doing it anyway!

Well I am going to do something that I can't really afford to do, but I will do it anyway, because it means a lot to me and I wanted to do it for the last couple of years.  At first I was kind of debating in my head what to do on this day to pay tribute, and  I thought about doing something with a friends, who will share that day with me in her own way and sorrow.  But then I realized that that day is also Mother's Day, and it is OPEN DAY at the DSC, so that's were I will be. But that will give me the opportunity of doing what I wanted to do for so long and I will honour a life in a special way today. And really nothing would be closer to my dad's heart than being with the donkeys, since they were his favourite animals, especially the minis. So I am at peace with my decision and can't wait to turn it into a reality. How is that for following through on things.....woo hoo...that's pretty darn good for me.  lol.

In loving memory of my dad!

Also remembering another angel who got her wings a year ago today! R.I.P...and I am sure glad I didn't dust you out of the bowl after all.

Moms and Dads. I wonder how come we often don't realize how much we love them until after they are gone?

What a lovely picture! Did you have that done or do it yourself? I miss my Dad too, he's been gone for nearly 40 years now. I wish I had a decent picture of him (besides their wedding picture).

We all have tributes for our loved ones which have left our lives. I took a bit of time to remember your Dad, and think of your Mom and that took me to thinking of my own Mom and Dad. Where does the time go?

As for making that picture Sharon, as far as I can remember there was a site on Facebook where you could do all kinds of neat things with pictures, and that's what came up with when I played around.
