Yesterday was the first of five competitions for Micki's Dance team. The Dance Dance Canada Competition took place in Brantford at the Sanderson Centre. It was only for the level 2 Competitive team, event though Pookie is on the level 1 team, she is in one group on the level 2 team. It is their HIP HOP line group, there song SO SIKK is a medley of songs that have to do with crazy and madness ( I am slowly going crazy- Crazy- Insane in the Membrane), they are wearing straight jackets, hands tight together, basketball short and hip hop boots and all different crazy hairdos. It is a very fun number and lots of action going on. It was the first time I have seen the complete number and I thought they did well, well for one little blunder, but hey the show must go on.... for their effort they were awarded a high silver with a second place placing. Not too bad for a first competition, with time and competitions they are certain to improve. There is a lot of things going on in that number that can go wrong, it's pretty tricky and intertwined, lots of chances to get entangled and tied up..lol...by oneself or with the person next to you.
The next competition will be in Hamilton at Hamilton Place at the end of the month.
