I spy...

I think everybody remembers that childhood game "I spy" /"ich sehe was was du nicht siehst", sometimes it feels like playing that same game all through adulthood/parenthood and some people just don't ever catch the clues that are given to them. I believe as parents we sometimes do wear blinders when it comes to our kids, e.g. others tell you something about your child, and you just don't get it, you never seen it or you just don't want to believe it, it can be good or bad. Sometimes parents seem almost annoyed with your audacity to say something about there child, especially if it's something not so pleasant. They just sometimes don't want to see it. Weirdly enough I usually say, well I am sure they did, since I know my kids, I know they are no angels, so why would I be shocked if someone told me something I already know, maybe because I know already and can accept that they are not perfect, since nobody is, and I am aware of what they do and don't do. But to some parents it comes like a big shock and a total surprise when there otherwise perfect child all of a sudden is in the centre of a crisis. Other people probably could have told you so a long time ago, outsiders see things sometimes so much clearer but if you say anything, you will be met with criticism, or it's none of your business or other remarks that display that parents disgust with you about mentioning anything. So most of the times I just keep my mouth shut, have my thoughts about it and act surprise when it all comes to head one day or another. But I have seen that one coming and the attempts to divert the attention right now to other options, seems to me a little bit ridiculous, but hey I could be wrong and if I am I will admit it, after all I am only a preschool instructor not an educator.

as far as words go,you know that when you give instruction you are educating. To be a VALUED OR TRUE educator you must to begin by showing, leading, believing in and by your own example. You would know when to come out of the rain, and when it is safe to go to the window. Being true to your word and work is far more important that the lable you put upon yourself.

Some people don't have the ability to handle truth, so they face life as they believe it to be. They do not hear what others say merly because they choose not to identify themselves to any controversy regarding their own self and/or their children.
