This morning my daughter and I made our way to Niagara Falls, to attend another Dance Competition. We left around 9:30 am, even though she didn't dance until 3:45pm, but she wanted to spend the day at the Canada One Outlet Mall. So we arrived in Niagara Falls at round 11 and spend 2 1/2 hours shopping. Of course it never fails, and my daughter found a few things she wanted. After our feet were sore and walking seemed to turn into more of an effort, we hopped in the car and drove down Lundy's Lane in search of a place for Lunch. We ended up going to Swiss Chalet and had a nice and quiet lunch. Then it was time to make our way slowly to the Fallsview Hilton Hotel, where the competition took place. We found a nice parking spot and walked about a block only to our destination. Pookie got dressed, put on her own make up and eyelashes and she was ready to go. Their group did pretty well again, they scored enough points to receive Dynamic Gold and they even got a special judges award, which is always a nice bonus. So they were all happy at the end of the afternoon, we were tired and ready to head home. This was the 3rd of 4 competitions, so one more to go. Things are so much easier now that she can do pretty much everything herself, the dressing, the makeup and whatever comes with it, but it makes for a long day to just stand around and wait. Oh well, the joy of being a stage mother lol......thank god I don't really care one way or the other, after all this is suppose to be fun and that's what was had. So everybody was happy, including me, tired but happy. :)
