Oh I love it...

...when I can answer my own question.lol...This morning I was struggling a little bit with making sense out of some people actions and the question arose about what is the difference between being selfish and just looking out for one's best interest and well being? Then I came across another blog entry in which the author questioned her actions as being selfish, which I don't think she is/was and I commented to that, than something else came back to something that happened last night, and I really questioned the thought process of some people, first I was giving it the benefit of the doubt, thinking well this is how she feels and she is just stating her wishes as to what would be best for her....fair enough....but and here comes the answer to my own question....and this is my interpretation of the difference between selfish and looking out for oneself, looking out for oneself is great and everybody should do it and has the right to set his/her own borders, once you ask others to change for your benefit, that becomes selfishness to me....but again just me.....and what do I know.
But I would never ever have the nerve to ask for something that will alter every body's schedule just to suite mine or my lifestyle. Well if I can't handle both, then something gotta give....I would be pissed if I couldn't attend, but I would never ask for others to change plans for me, now that is what I call SELFISH! If you can't make it or handle it tough shit! It's pretty much all about what is important to you and what are you willing to do for or about it, that's what makes the world go round, nobody stops for anybody, and if you expect that, then you are selfish.

well I still stand by the honest approach even when it hits some smack dab right in the middle of the face...

But remember a lot of people also say things and realize later what they have done or said and feel bad about it. God knows I have. But I don't know that person well enough ether.
